[04.04.07] SENIORS! GIVE A MISSION UPDATE...

the story so far..

seniors have a wheelchair..

had a few gas powered engines.. but deemed not usable for our purposes.. too loud, fumes, etc..

decided upon electric motors (2)..

THE MISSION: OFF-ROAD WHEELCHAIR

design an off-road wheelchair so that an individual confined to a wheelchair could explore scenery beyond a paved surface. the design team would consider what would be necesary for such a wheelchair and how such a unit could be assembled. the wheelchair would allow an energetic individual to move over a grassy surface with some bumps and a slight incline. A one-quater size prototype could be built and tested with the help of our mentors from wentworth institute of technology,mike fisher and nick peterson.
