[03.20.07]ENGINE BRANDS

Martin can you please

1) post the brand of the two engines that you have, so people can do research on what parts we need

2) how does it work, so people can get familiar with what we are going to be working with.

well the engine we have now works ok but i think it may need some new parts on it. the piston moves ok but we need a throttle assembly in order for it to do anything. we don't have much time on this project so we have to work rigorously on this in order to try and complete this project.

we are working on the engine tomorrow (march23) in mr.gilson's room (rm.044) during 3rd period (1020am). please be respectful of his classroom materials.. but if you ASK when you need something, mr.gilson said he'd be supportive of our project

THE MISSION: OFF-ROAD WHEELCHAIR

design an off-road wheelchair so that an individual confined to a wheelchair could explore scenery beyond a paved surface. the design team would consider what would be necesary for such a wheelchair and how such a unit could be assembled. the wheelchair would allow an energetic individual to move over a grassy surface with some bumps and a slight incline. A one-quater size prototype could be built and tested with the help of our mentors from wentworth institute of technology, mike fisher and nick peterson.
